Privacy and cookie policy

1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

  • When you order: name, email address, phone, delivery address and, for a company invoice, the company name and VAT number.
  • In your account: the data above, your order history and – if you add them – your cars in “My garage” (make, model, generation, engine, VIN).
  • In forms (VIN matching, fitment check, fitting quote, contact, business partnership): the data you enter in them.
  • Automatically: IP address, device and browser information, how you use the site (cookies – see section 8).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Fulfilling orders, running your account and handling enquiries – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contract steps).
  • Issuing invoices and bookkeeping – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
  • Handling complaints and returns, pursuing and defending claims – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest).
  • Preparing individual discounts and offers for account holders based on saved cars and purchase history – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Statistics and improving the site – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent to analytics cookies).
  • Advertising, including remarketing on Google and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent to marketing cookies).

4. Who we share data with

We share data only to the extent needed for a given purpose:

  • our hosting provider (LH.pl) – running the shop and email,
  • the payment operator – processing online payments,
  • courier companies and our shipping broker (InPost, DPD, Epaka and other couriers) – delivery,
  • our accounting software provider (wFirma) – invoices,
  • our parts supplier (BMW distributor) – only when necessary to fulfil the order,
  • the ServiceMile workshop – when you ask for a fitting quote or fitting,
  • Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads), Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity) – statistics and ads, with your consent,
  • public authorities – when required by law.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Google, Meta and Microsoft may process data in the USA, based on the European Commission's EU-US Data Privacy Framework decision or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data

  • order and invoice data – for the period required by tax law (usually 5 years from the end of the tax year),
  • data related to complaints and claims – until the limitation periods expire,
  • account and “My garage” data – until the account is deleted,
  • form data – until the matter is closed and then for the limitation period of any claims,
  • data processed on the basis of consent – until consent is withdrawn.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing). You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa) or the authority in your country. Providing data is voluntary, but we can't fulfil an order without the data it requires.

8. Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Necessary – cart, login and security. No consent required.
  • Analytics – Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft Clarity (e.g. click maps and anonymous session recordings, without form contents). Only with your consent.
  • Marketing – Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram) to measure ad performance and for remarketing. Only with your consent.

We store your choice in a cookie for 6 months, and our consent log keeps an anonymous ID, the date, your choice, a hash of your IP address (not the full address) and the browser type – so we can show that consent was given.
