Realization of BMW M3 G80 LCI M Performance
Recently, we had the opportunity to present very subtle projects aimed at delicately emphasizing the sporty character of the car, while still maintaining seriousness and elegance. This time it's completely different...
Our latest project on the BMW M3 G80 LCI was intended to bring out the maximum amount of aggression and downright racing character!
The effect of the entire equipment is further enhanced by the Toronto red metallic paint, which perfectly matches the "racing" atmosphere.
Later in the post you will learn more about the elements used to achieve the final effect, and future plans for the "red M3", because it's not over yet...!
Front
Starting from the front of the car, three significant changes are immediately visible, two of which, apart from the obvious visual aspects, also have an impact on the car's performance!
The first stage of retrofitting the front part of the car was to get rid of the grilles in the bumper that covered the air intakes. For this purpose, we used carbon M Performance air intakes, which are included in the factory carbon package. This procedure allowed us to get rid of the grilles and plastic inlets, thereby increasing the flow of air cooling the brake discs during dynamic driving.
In the next stage of retrofitting, we focused on lowering the front by using the M Performance carbon splitter mounted under the lower part of the front bumper. The splitter consists of three elements - two side elements mounted instead of the standard Gloss Black inserts, and a central part. The whole thing has much more aggressive shapes and optically lowers the front of the car phenomenally. Thanks to the new assembly technology used by BMW, despite the very visible effect, the front of the car is physically lowered by only a dozen or so millimeters, which allows for trouble-free use of the car in urban conditions. Additionally, according to the manufacturer, the splitter is also intended to improve the front axle pressure, which ensures even better handling at higher speeds.
The last elements used to modify the front are Aero Flick's carbon M Performance, which is the usual four "flights" visible on both sides of the front bumper. They provide an even more aggressive look, emphasizing the sporty character of the car by referring to motor sports, where such solutions are commonplace. Additionally, they perfectly complement the whole by adding another subtle carbon accent in the front of the car.
Sides
In the first phase of implementation, we focused on larger elements that had a significant impact on the appearance of the car, which is why we had to retrofit it with carbon M Performance side skirts. Installed in place of the standard Gloss Black strips, the strips made entirely of carbon are slightly more massive, and just in front of the rear wheel they have "wings" that widen the rear of the car and give an optical lowering effect.
Rear
Looking at the back, the difference is unmistakable! First of all, in order to give consistency to the retrofitting, we focused on changing the Gloss Black diffuser, with which the car was factory-equipped, to a carbon diffuser from the factory package, which not only differs in material, but also has more, more massive vertical "fins".
The next stage, which was intended to finally optically widen the rear axle, was to equip it with carbon M Performance winglets, i.e. wings visible just behind the rear wheels. Much larger and more aggressive winglets, which are installed in place of the standard Gloss Black side skirts, perfectly create a uniform whole with the side skirts.
The last, but at the same time the most exciting, retrofit element that completely changes the appearance of the car is the M Performance carbon spoiler! Made of the highest quality, hand-made carbon fiber, a very aggressive spoiler fits perfectly into the idea of retrofitting, adding a completely track-like character! In addition to its unique appearance, the spoiler is also intended, in combination with the splitter, to significantly improve the aerodynamics of the car by increasing the downforce on the rear axle, which directly translates into increased traction.
In our opinion, the current implementation has completely fulfilled its objectives, giving the M-3 a maximum aggressive and sporty character. Additionally, combined with the color red, which has always been associated with sports cars, the final effect definitely exceeded our expectations, but that's not the end...
